Leukoplast wound closure strips.

Leukoplast Skin Suture Strips (formerly known under the brand name Leukosan Strip), manufactured by Essity, are sterile adhesive dressings designed for the non-invasive closure of minor wounds, cuts or surgical incisions. 

Properties and functions:

Sterile wound closure strips, providing reliable, non-invasive closure.

Its unique tissue structure provides elasticity, allowing the strip to absorb inflammation around the wound.

The use of polyamide makes it permeable to air and water vapor, thus preventing maceration of the skin.

The rounded corners allow for a permanent and optimal fixation of the strip, which also has a hypoallergenic adhesive layer (latex-free) and is therefore skin-friendly.

Leukoplast Wound Closure Strip adhesive skin sutures are for topical use only.

Applications:

Wound suture strips can be used to close non-exuding superficial wounds (primary and secondary), for fixation of skin grafts, and to support subcutaneous and intradermal sutures in wounds with poor traction on the skin.

Instructions for use

1. Remove the strips individually from the foil.

The strips can be removed separately from the carrier film. Make sure not to touch the surface that will be in contact with the wound.

2. Fix the strips perpendicular to the wound.

Fix the strips at a 90º angle to the direction of the wound. Apply a little tension to bring the edges of the wound together.

3. Leave the same distance between each strip.

Place several strips next to each other at regular intervals.

Composition:

White polyamide fabric, acrylic adhesive mass with high skin tolerance and perforated transparent silicone support.

Latex free.

They are available in different sizes in white or beige.
